The Llansamlet Academy is a massive part of the club. LSMBC first started their academy in 2000 as a new management team  came in with the view of establishing a constant flow of youth players as already LSMBC had Christopher Hillier and also his younger Brother Daniel in their ranks.

The Academy set up is now a major focus and is the biggest in its region and is known for the production of young talent. To this date it has provided the majority of the clubs  players, It also has consistantly produced Welsh Under 21 Internationals. Some of the members have then gone on to play in the senior county while in the set up.

​

The current Academy is run by long term member Christopher Hillier who has a background in coaching from other Sports but what makes his experiance unique is he was a product of the Academy and knows what it is the club needs and looks for in a youth player. The Current team of coaches consists of Chris Hillier, Saskia Buck and Andrew Jones. Both Saskia and Andrew have played in the Welsh U21 Set Up.

Currently in the club Llansamlet have 5 Welsh Under 21 Internationals. Also going that step further is Megan  Yeo and Liam Owen are currently the Welsh U16 pairs Champions and also Megan is the Welsh u12 Singles Champion.

The Academy has a total open door policy so no junior will be sent away.  We encourage all who wish to play of even try the sport.
